Melina followed their advice with trust. She kneaded the softest dough in the world, stretched it into long ribbons and wrapped it around a magically warmed wooden cylinder, just as the old tradition asked.

The dough browned beautifully above the fire while golden sparks drifted through the air. Every spiral took on the color of sunset, crisp outside and soft within.

Centuries later, when the SAITOS family opened its first shop in Baia Mare in 2009, Melina knew this was where her care would be needed.
